Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Domus (“the Service”), operated by Lorenzo Bonomi, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Domus is a platform that lets students post and browse room listings, and message each other directly. Domus is not a landlord, tenant, letting agent, or party to any rental agreement. We do not verify property ownership, inspect properties, hold deposits, or process rent payments. Any agreement about rent, deposits, move-in dates, or the condition of a property is made directly between users, at their own risk.

You must be at least 18 years old and a current or prospective university student to use Domus. You are responsible for providing accurate information when you sign up, including using a valid email address.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

If you post a listing, you confirm that you have the right to offer that room or apartment (e.g. as the current tenant with permission to sublet, or the property owner) and that the information you provide is accurate and up to date. We may remove any listing or content that is inaccurate, fraudulent, discriminatory, or otherwise violates these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice.

You agree not to: post false or misleading listings; discriminate unlawfully against other users; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; attempt to circumvent our security or scrape the platform; or use Domus for any purpose other than finding or offering student housing.

Domus does not mediate, guarantee, or take responsibility for any transaction, agreement, payment, or dispute between users. Always verify a listing in person (or via video call) and never send money before signing a proper agreement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domus is not liable for any loss, damage, fraud, or dispute arising from interactions between users, whether on or off the platform.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular outcome (such as finding or letting a room) will result from using Domus.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Domus and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct).

You may stop using Domus and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your conduct poses a risk to other users or to Domus.

The Domus name, logo, and platform design belong to us. Content you post (listings, photos, profile information) remains yours, but by posting it you grant us a license to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use Domus after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
